KAPATIK WORLD TATTOO EXPO is a two-day event situated in the heart of Cebu in the biggest indoor venue in the City with ample parking spaces. This festival is essentially a tattoo artists gathering and competition, with at least 200 booths and up to 250 Tattoo artists. There will be an estimated traffic of spectators and tattoo enthusiasts to 1500-3000 daily in and out. This is open to all tattoo artists, exhibitors, suppliers and highlighted by an internationally acclaimed board of judges.



KAPATIK is showcasing a variety of local food and drinks, locally known music artists, DJ performances, merchandise, bike and Motor Show, Department of Health free vaccination and HIV testing, showcase of tourist destinations such as beach, waterfalls and other nature tourist destinations in Cebu Island. Witness the best of Philippine music artists performances, Live Mural or Painting Exhibit, Body Painting, Grafitti and more.

MODE OF JUDGING



All contestants are advised to be at the back of the stage. Once called up the category they will go up to the stage. If there are around 70-100 participants in one category they will be divided into 5 sets sets to go on stage, and choose 5 best tattoos. They will set aside until all contestants are finished judging. The 5 sets of 5’s will go back to the judges to choose the best 10 winners. They will be judged again for the 3 rd time. This time each contestant will have their respective place. But the first 3 highest scores will remain at the stage to choose the final 1st, 2nd and 3rd placer.


-If there are up to 69 contestants, this will be divided into 2 sets, and will be judged the same way until we finish judging. Thirty (20) participants are the minimum for 1 set for judging.


-To choose the winners, members of the board of judges will have 10 tokens each. They will give it to the contestant whom they think deserve to win, or give a few flags to which they deserve to place second or third, the more flags the more chances of winning the championship.


-Picture right away for proof of awarding.


-Trophy will be desk type for all the 1st to 3rd Placers, the rest will receive certificates and other freebies.


JUDGES

MECHANICS



The competition is open to all tattoo artists, whether Filipino or non-Filipino, as long as they are registered exhibitors and have paid the necessary fees. A tattoo piece can be entered in multiple categories as long as it meets the description and pays the required fees.


All tattoo entries for the competition must be completely healed, with no signs of healing such as dead skin, except for the on-the-spot categories. Tattoos of the day must be done on-site, starting from the stencil or drawing and finishing on the spot.


All tattoo models must be at least 18 years old.


The registration fee is P500 per entry per category.


Once registered, cancellations are not allowed and the fees are non-refundable. If a contestant does not appear, the fees collected will not be refunded and will go to the organizer.


The organizer has the right to qualify or disqualify an individual’s entry.


All portrait entries must provide the reference used by the artist; failure to do so will result in a deduction from the merit of the entry.


All pre-made categories must be completely healed, with no signs of scabbing or fresh skin tissue.



CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF JUDGES



Your team is responsible to Organize, Develop and manage the whole judging Show.


Coordinate with all the contestants together with the registration office for the copy of all contestants.


Organize the Queueing of contestants before the judging.


Create choreography for contestants for the judges to walk to them.


Proper coordination with the show host for announcements of the procedures.


Assignment of crew to hand over and prepare corresponding prizes, freebies, trophy and other prizes.


Organizing and Briefing of all judges about the categories and judging procedures.


List of participants with corresponding numbers and categories.


Schedule of judging for each category and who are assigned judges.


Best of show is for all judges Organize the Photo station/spot for contestant before judging.


Briefing of all contestants before and after the presentation.


Organize all winners for a souvenir photo for each category
